Networking local, private leased line networks, to the corporate Virtual Private Networks VPNs and the great speed and reliability of the internet.  Internet from the dial-up analogue days, with multiple modems, ISDN, to ADSL and S-HDSL, right up to today's Ethernet over Copper 40 / 40 Mbps and naturally Fibre.

We have seen wireless network evolve. From 1 mbps right up to the current 802.1 N multiple path extended range coverage private wireless.  Also the mobile phone carrier wireless networks, with greater coverage, speeds and in-building coverage penetration. Technologies such as: 2G, GSM, 3G, UTMS and 4G.
