Wired Networks
For the physical cabling aspect, we use a
highly awarded commercial data network cable
installer.
Once installed, we come on site and connect
your various devices using network cards and
network hubs or switches.
Switches are like streets.
Wireless Networks
If you prefer the flexibility that wireless
networks have to offer, our trained technicians,
can perform this task.
We install the necessary wireless network
cards both on servers, workstations and
notebooks. They are then linked to wireless network access points or
bridges.
Correct signalling strengths
and security options are taken into
consideration.
We also cater for building to building
wireless connectivity, subject to regulatory
requirements. Routers and Firewalls
When connecting your network to other
networks, such as the internet, you will
need a router and a firewall.
A router will do the task of passing
network traffic between the two (outside
world and office/home) networks.
Routers are like street intersections.
A firewall, on the other hand, will
restrict certain traffic, usually from the
network you are connecting to (the outside
world) for security purposes.
Firewalls are like country border
controllers. |
